Bright light without direct sunlight. Tolerates light in partial shade. Avoid scorching sun which dries out the fronds and rhizomes.
Ideal between 18 and 26°C. Do not expose below 10°C. Strictly tropical plant.
Keep the substrate slightly damp at all times. Never allow it to dry out completely, but do not let it become waterlogged. Reduce moisture slightly in winter.
Prefers high humidity. Perfect for a terrarium or bright, slightly dry room. Misting is possible around the plant (avoid excessive misting of the foliage).
A very well-draining and aerated mix: sphagnum moss, fine bark, coconut fiber. The rhizomes must remain on the surface, never buried.
Repot every 2 to 3 years, in spring. Choose a wide and shallow pot to allow the rhizomes to spread.
Apply a quality fertilizer to the ferns in spring-summer, using a low dose. Avoid over-fertilizing.
Do not cut the aerial rhizomes: they are what ensure growth and give the plant its character.
