Registered cultivar , this is an extremely rare Sarracenia in collections.
Like Sarracenia flava var. rugelii , its leaves are a light "acid" green, rare among plants, with one or more blood-red marks under the hood, whose attractive power on insects is undeniable. Like other Sarracenia purpurea , it is a very hardy carnivorous plant .
From October to April (rest period) , the foliage of the plant partially disappears. The Sarracenia purpurea 'Sorrow' is then delivered in the form of a rhizome still rooted in a pot and ready to start again in spring.
