Selaginella martensii is a tropical plant with very fine, dense foliage, prized for its mossy appearance and bright green color. It quickly forms a compact, cascading cushion, ideal for terrariums, paludariums, humid tropical arrangements, or bright indoor cultivation without direct sunlight.
This selaginella thrives in high humidity, with a consistently moist substrate and mild temperatures year-round. Its deeply cut foliage provides a lush, natural appearance reminiscent of miniature ferns.
Unlike Selaginella 'Jori' , the classic Selaginella martensii has greener, more natural-looking foliage and is generally a little less compact. 'Jori' is primarily prized for its bright, golden-yellow to light green new growth and its more decorative, contrasting appearance. The classic martensii, on the other hand, maintains a more understated look, ideal for natural terrariums.

Selaginella uncinata, also known as "clubmoss" or "shining selaginella," is a popular houseplant prized for its lush appearance. Here are the growing conditions for this plant:
Selaginella uncinata prefers bright to medium indirect light. It thrives in a well-lit room without direct sunlight. Avoid complete shade.
Maintain a constant temperature between 18°C and 24°C. It can tolerate slightly lower temperatures, but avoid cold drafts.
This plant likes high humidity. To increase humidity, you can spray water on the plant and place a tray of water nearby.
Keep the soil consistently moist, but avoid waterlogging. Water with room-temperature water when the top layer of soil begins to dry out. Avoid leaving the plant sitting in a saucer of water.
