In the immense Bromeliad family, Neoregelia originates from Brazil, which explains their growing and maintenance requirements. The 5000 existing cultivars have more or less the same requirements and find a designated place in a tropical terrarium as well as in an interior !
Neoregelia doesn't grow in the sun in nature. The same is true in your home. Direct sunlight is harmful to them, but maximum brightness will do them the world of good.
Neoregelia appreciates humidity. Therefore, you will need to water it every two or three days, preferably from above, to fill its reservoir while keeping the substrate constantly moist. In winter, space waterings out by a week depending on conditions.
Rainwater or reverse osmosis water is essential.
