Cephalotus follicularis
It is a carnivorous plant that comes from South Australia . It reaches up to 50 cm in diameter and takes on its intense red coloring once well exposed to the sun and therefore with the beautiful season.
The leaves of Cephalotus follicularis are of two types: simple ones reaching 1 to 2 cm in length, the others, serving as traps, are ascidians of 1.5 to 3 cm topped with an operculum.
This is a passive trap where insects will drown.
