Hoya
Hoya - Wax flower or porcelain flower
With over 300 species, the genus Hoya is astonishing in many ways, starting with the fact that these are succulent plants (plants whose tissues particularly retain water) that evolve in the Far East where monsoons and other torrential rains prevail.
A particularly elegant and airy vine , the Hoya also produces splendid and graceful flowers which have made it famous as much as its leaves whose characteristics and colours are as numerous as there are species.
We select healthy, acclimatized plants . Success depends on sufficient light, controlled humidity, and regular but moderate watering. In this category, you'll find our recommended varieties, as well as simple instructions for planting and daily care.
Tips & criteria
- Light: bright but diffused; avoid direct sunlight through glass.
- Humidity: 60–80% depending on species; gentle ventilation.
- Watering: regular but moderate; well-draining substrate.
- Support: Xaxim , bark or light mixture depending on epiphytes.
- Fertilizer: sparingly, only for non-carnivores.
