Tradescantia tomentosa thrives in bright indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as this can burn the leaves. Place it near a window with bright but subdued light.
Maintain a constant temperature between 18°C and 24°C. It does not tolerate temperatures below 10°C.
Keep the soil slightly moist, but avoid soaking it. Water when the top layer of soil begins to dry out. Reduce watering in winter.
Tradescantia tomentosa appreciates moderate ambient humidity. You can increase the humidity by placing a tray of water near the plant or by using a humidifier.
Use a well-draining potting soil for indoor plants . A mixture of indoor plant potting soil with perlite is suitable.
