Hoya sp. cv Sunrise is an interesting cultivar due to the many shades of red that appear on its leaves when exposed to direct sunlight.
This Hoya, which is very aesthetic , particularly due to the numerous veins that its leaves possess, has good growth and is relatively easy to cultivate.
When you receive the branches to be replanted, simply stick them halfway into well-drained potting soil . Hoyas root slowly, but with patience and the right conditions (see below), it's child's play!

The location of your Hoya sp. cv Sunrise will greatly affect its substrate requirements. You can use either a professional quality horticultural soil or a special mixture composed of 50% blond peat , 25% horticultural soil and 25% perlite .
Xaxim, whether in a plate or pot , is also an excellent solution as a growing medium because the root system of Hoyas in general grows very vigorously there.
Hoya sp. cv Sunrise does not like temperatures that are too low. Do not let them go below 15°C, possibly 10°C but very occasionally. As long as it does not suffer from a lack of water, it will tolerate high temperatures but will grow less well above 30°C.
Like many other Hoyas, Hoya sp. cv Sunrise appreciates reverse osmosis water or rainwater. Make sure to never have water in the saucer and space out waterings sufficiently so that the surface of the substrate dries out between two waterings. Respect a vegetative rest in winter by spacing waterings two weeks apart depending on the size of your pot.
This Hoya appreciates strong light, moderate direct sunlight will accentuate the red of its leaves . A partial shade exposure can also be suitable but will see your Hoya sp. cv Sunrise grow much less quickly.
In spring and summer, it is beneficial to spray the plant with foliar fertilizer diluted to a quarter, twice a month.
