Maintenance and cultivation of Senecio rowleyanus for transplanting

Senecio rowleyanus, also known as "String of Pearls" because of its growth form, is a fascinating houseplant. Here are the growing conditions for this plant:

Light

Senecio rowleyanus prefers bright to filtered indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as this can burn the leaves. Place it near a window with bright but subdued light.

Temperature

Keep the plant at a temperature between 18°C and 24°C. It tolerates lower temperatures for short periods, but avoid frost.

Watering

Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Let the top of the soil dry out, then water well, then let dry out slightly again. Reduce watering in winter.

Humidity

This plant does not need high humidity, but it tolerates normal room humidity well.

Ground

Use a well-draining mix , such as cactus and succulent potting soil, to promote good drainage.

Fertilizer

Fertilize the plant with a diluted balanced fertilizer once a month in spring and summer. Do not fertilize in winter.

Size

Pruning Senecio rowleyanus is generally not necessary. You can remove dead stems if necessary.
