The cordate aptenia , also called heart-leaved figwort, is a succulent plant (which transforms water into juices) native to South Africa .
A creeping plant with evergreen leaves, Aptenia cordifolia variegata branches a lot and keeps an intense green color all year round without needing too much water, on the contrary!
Its flowers are very responsive and open early in the day. Ideal for hanging, the Heart-leaved Ficoïde can also be used in desert to semi-desert terrariums.
Upon receipt of the branches to be replanted (delivered in boxes full of rehydrated sphagnum moss , ideal for transport), simply stick them halfway into the potting soil . Aptenia root very easily and quickly, provided you keep the potting soil moist but not waterlogged!
Also available in a pot .

Aptenia cordifolia variegata is a low-maintenance perennial plant. Here are the growing conditions for this plant:
Aptenia cordifolia prefers a sunny to partially shaded position. It can tolerate some shade, but bright, strong light promotes better flowering.
It prefers temperatures between 15°C and 27°C. It can tolerate lower temperatures, but it is sensitive to frost.
This plant is drought tolerant . Water it moderately, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Avoid overflowing the pot, as overwatering can cause root rot.
Use well-drained soil.
Repot the plant every two to three years in spring, choosing a slightly larger pot.
