Tillandsia straminea
Tillandsia native to an area from southern Ecuador to central Peru .
Tillandsia straminea is a very spectacular species with its large silvery lanceolate leaves, up to 25 cm long. Those on the lower part of the plant are drooping, while the most recent ones are erect. The flowers, about 2 cm, have pink petals with blue tips, and follow one another for a long time on an inflorescence composed of multiple spikes. They are fragrant.
