Place your Peperomia pepperspot in a bright location, but avoid direct sunlight. An east or west facing window is usually ideal. You can also grow this plant under grow lights if natural light is insufficient.
Peperomias prefer temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Avoid cold drafts and temperatures below 10°C.
Peperomias are susceptible to root rot, so it is essential not to overwater them. Wait until the substrate is dry on top before watering. Make sure the pot has good drainage to prevent waterlogging.
Plants prefer relatively high humidity. You can increase the humidity around the plant by placing a tray of water nearby or by spraying the leaves regularly, especially in winter when the air is drier.
Fertilize your Peperomia pepperspot with a balanced fertilizer (10-10-10) diluted to half strength about every 4 to 6 weeks during the spring and summer. Avoid over-fertilizing, as this can damage the plant.
Repotting is usually only necessary when the plant becomes really cramped in its pot or the substrate becomes depleted. This is usually done every 2-3 years.
Prune occasionally to remove dead or damaged leaves. This also encourages more compact, bushy growth.
