The ficus microcarpa , grown like a bonsai, produces this small tree about twenty centimetres high.

Its roots are particularly prominent, hence its commercial name Ficus microcarpa ginseng , which means " root " in Chinese.

Very decorative, it is perfect as an indoor plant and in humid terrariums (do not leave the pot in contact with water).

In a rooted clump , only one rooted stem is present, requiring multiple successive prunings to obtain the aerial root system typical of Ficus microcarpa ginseng.
