Sarracenia leucophylla x wrigleyana
In the splendid Sarracenia family, Sarracenia leucophylla x wrigleyana is a superb hybrid between Sarracenia psittacina and Sarracenia leucophylla. Nature has done things well since it has preserved the most typical characteristics of the two parent Sarracenias, namely very leaning pitchers with a parrot's beak shape (inherited from Sarracenia psittacina), but larger and with white on their upper part (inherited from Sarracenia leucophylla ).
The erect urns of this splendid Sarracenia are very brightly colored in green, white and red, inherited from its parents. The operculum, almost vertical, seems to be a simple extension of the urn, of which it displays the same colored patterns.
From October to March (rest period) , the foliage of the plant partially disappears. The Sarracenia leucophylla x wrigleyana is then delivered in the form of a rhizome still rooted in a pot and ready to start again in the spring.
