Sarracenia flava var. ornata
Sarracenia flava ornata is one of the 7 varieties of the species Sarracenia flava .
As with the others, it is characterized by superb slender urns, and whose upper part, including the cap, is very wide. The variety ornata , a name which means "decorated", has a green-yellow foliage covered with very marked red veins, magnificent. Few carnivorous plants attract the eye more than this Sarracenia used in the fight against the Asian hornet ... A generous sun of course helps with its coloring.
From October to April (rest period) , the foliage of the plant partially disappears. The Sarracenia flava var. ornata is then delivered in the form of a rhizome still rooted in a pot and ready to start again in the spring even if, generally, the foliage holds during the bad season.
