In the immense family of Bromeliads , Neoregelia are native to Brazil which explains their needs in terms of cultivation and maintenance. The 5000 existing cultivars thus have more or less the same requirements and find a designated place in a tropical terrarium as well as in an interior !
Neoregelia does not grow in the sun in nature. So the same goes for you. Direct sunlight is harmful to them, but maximum brightness will do them the greatest good.
Neoregelia appreciates humidity. You will therefore need to water it every two or three days, preferably from above, to fill its reservoir while keeping the substrate continuously moist. In winter, space out waterings by a week depending on the conditions.
Rainwater or osmosis water required.
From 17°C to 28°C.
