Neoregelia 'Fireball' is a bromeliad known for its tendency to turn bright red under intense light , hence its name, which literally means fireball.

A plant can measure more than 40 cm, and develop numerous aerial shoots which can then be replanted.

Ideal for chameleons, poison dart frogs, crested geckos, Phelsuma and all species of reptiles that appreciate the environment.

Can be grown outdoors from spring to fall.

In the immense family of Bromeliads , Neoregelia are native to Brazil which explains their needs in terms of cultivation and maintenance. The 5000 existing cultivars thus have more or less the same requirements and find a designated place in a tropical terrarium as well as in an interior !

Ideal growing conditions

Light : Neoregelia appreciates bright, but indirect light . Avoid full sun which could burn its leaves.

Temperature : A room temperature between 18 and 25°C is ideal.

Humidity : Neoregelia needs a humid environment. Spray its leaves regularly or use a humidifier.

Substrate : Our special homemade Neoregelia and orchid substrate is perfect!

Watering : Water regularly, letting the substrate dry slightly between waterings if you have your Neoregelia in a pot. Fill the central rosette with water and moisten the roots continuously if you use your Neoregelia in the air.

Daily maintenance

Repotting : Repot your Neoregelia every 2 years, preferably in spring, but this is not mandatory if you keep it in a terrarium under a lamp.

Pruning : Remove dry or damaged leaves.

Fertilizer : Add a liquid fertilizer for epiphytic plants every 4 weeks during the growing season.
