Growing Tips for Heliamphora

Temperature

Between 10 and 15°C at night, 20 and 30°C during the day.

Water

Use only rainwater, demineralized or osmosis. Water that is too hard will cause the plant to die in a few weeks. Do not use bottled water, as it generally contains too much salt, which is harmful to the plant. Place the plant in a saucer containing 1 to 2 cm of water.

Fertilizer

Once a week, spray with a solution of orchid fertilizer diluted 1/10.

Brightness

Very bright all year round. Indoors, a supply of artificial light is very beneficial or even essential.

Substrate

Mixture of sphagnum peat moss , non-calcareous sand, perlite , vermiculite (5V, 1V, 3V, 1V) or more simply sphagnum .
