Asplenium ebenoides is a natural hybrid resulting from the cross between Asplenium platyneuron and Camptosorus rhizophyllus.
It is often nicknamed " Dragontail Fern " (a fine battle in prospect with the " Rabbit's Foot Fern "?) because of the unique shape of its evergreen, narrow and shiny fronds.
It combines the characteristics of its parents: its base is pinnate (cut), while the end ends in a long point, which can sometimes root in contact with the ground (multiplication by stolon).
It is a small fern ideal for shady rockeries, low walls or terrariums , appreciating well-drained soils and being tolerant of limestone.

Packaging and cushioning
24 years of experience in packaging our plants. 100% recycled or reused.
Partial shade to full shade. It requires complete protection from direct sunlight, which damages its foliage. It prefers filtered or diffused light.
Evergreen. Keeps its green, glossy foliage all year round.
Moist but never saturated. The soil should remain uniformly moist, especially during the growing season.
Drainage is critical: avoid standing water to prevent root rot.
Good (Up to -15 to -20°C). It is very hardy and adapts well to shady rock gardens.
Well-drained, calcareous or neutral. Unlike other ferns, it tolerates alkaline (calcareous) and even sandy soils well.
Use a mix rich in humus, but lightened to ensure excellent drainage. Our green plant mix works very well.
Moderate to High. It appreciates a cool atmosphere and good ambient humidity, especially indoors or in a terrarium.
The tip of its long terminal frond can root (propagation by apical budding or stolon ), allowing the plant to spread slowly along the ground or in cracks.
