Nicknamed rabbit's foot in reference to the appearance of its aerial rhizomes, this original fern can be grown in a hanging basket or in a normal pot.

Its branched, hairy rhizomes crawl on the surface of the substrate (and even on the walls of the pot!), allowing the plant to colonize a large surface area.

Characteristic: pot 9 cm

Maintenance of Davallia canariensis

- Use our special mix , composed of 50% blond peat, 25% horticultural soil and 25% perlite.

- Choose a bright environment but without direct sunlight. Artificial light can be beneficial.

- Place the plant indoors or in a terrarium/paludarium type structure with plenty of atmospheric humidity for optimal growth. Temperatures between 5°C and 30°C.

- Water with rainwater or demineralized water. The substrate must be kept moist all year round, but avoid stagnant water under the plant.

- In spring and summer, it is beneficial to spray the plant with fertilizer diluted to a quarter, twice a month.
