Drosera capensis
carnivorous plant About fifteen centimeters tall, the Cape sundew is native to South Africa. Drosera capensis grows in a humid temperate climate and it is in full sun that it shows the extent of its splendor.
Each leaf is covered with hairs ending in sticky translucent pearls; these are formidable traps for insects and are found on all members of this family, such as Drosera adelae .
It blooms profusely in spring, displaying clustered mauve flowers that bloom one after the other.
