Dionaea muscipula 'Shell'
In this strange family of Dionaea , Dionaea 'Coquillage' was obtained by the French grower Guillaume Billy in 2008. This original variety has traps with slightly toothed margins, the overall shape of which is reminiscent of a shell, especially when the two thick lobes which form each trap are closed.
From September to March (rest period) , the Dionaea muscipula 'Coquillage' takes on a more reduced form, the leaves are shorter and remain on the ground. It offers pretty white flowers in spring.
