Conditions of sale

The site and all related documents are the exclusive property of the company KARNIVORES. Any reproduction is subject to express authorization from the owner of the brand.

1. Acceptance of the conditions

When placing an order, the customer acknowledges having read the conditions of sale set out on this page, and declares that they accept them without reservation.

2. Order and payment

There is no minimum order value; shipping costs are calculated automatically based on destination, order amount and weight. More details

Karnivores.com provides you with a secure method to pay for your order:

  • Bank card

After validating your shopping cart and delivery information, please select payment by credit card. You will then be redirected to the secure online payment site (Caisse Epargne - Systempay). Once your payment has been accepted, you will receive a confirmation email.

  • Check
Ordering by bank check requires a manual processing time, itself extended by the time it takes for the check to be delivered to the Karnivores nurseries. You have one week, including the time it takes for the check to be delivered, to send us your payment, otherwise the order will be cancelled and your check destroyed if received later.

Important Notes

  • In the event of a request to modify an order after its validation, the said order is cancelled and immediately refunded in full by crediting the bank account. The customer is then free to place a new order with the desired items.
  • Any order will only be taken into account after receipt of full payment.

3. Delivery

3.1 Treatment

Orders are processed in the order they are received. Regardless of the carrier chosen, the standard shipping time is 24 to 72 hours. During periods of high activity and/or bad weather, order preparation times may vary and extend beyond 72 hours.

In addition to this general principle, exceptional circumstances may delay shipments; when this happens, we indicate it in the shipment status . An email notification is sent on the day your order is shipped . After dispatch, it takes 2 to 3 working days for delivery with the Post Office, in mainland France. Orders shipped outside mainland France arrive at their destination in 3 to 10 working days. The goods travel at the recipient's risk , the delivery services (and/or customs) being solely responsible in the event of delay or loss. Furthermore, we cannot be held responsible for a delay in delivery due to the carrier.

However, please do not hesitate to let us know about any problems you may encounter so that we can find a compromise with you and the delivery services that is both quick and sensible.

3.2 Extreme cold and heatwave

When it comes to sending plants during cold periods , we strongly advise you to use heaters .
The customer is required to inquire about weather conditions, the responsibility for placing an order lies entirely with him . Karnivores EARL cannot be held responsible for damage related to cold or other weather phenomena.

3.3 International shipments

For technical reasons linked to the complexity of transport for each country in the European Union or not, it is impossible for us to guarantee delivery times by our service provider Colissimo.

We no longer deliver overseas.

3.4 Shipping and packaging costs

The packaging of our plants is the crucial step that guarantees the quality of the delivery. Its cost (recycled blisters, bio-sourced cardboard, etc.) is included in the shipping costs.

3.4 Warranty

We guarantee the perfect condition of the plants when they leave our establishment, particularly in the case of so-called "dormant" plants.

In accordance with current legislation, you have a withdrawal period of 14 days after receipt of your order. Only non-perishable goods can be returned (materials, substrate excluding living substrate). Plants, perishable goods, cannot be returned and are therefore not refunded.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Products must be returned properly protected, in their original packaging with your name, order number and list of returned items, to the following address:

The total amount of the order excluding perishable goods will be credited by check, or to the customer's bank account, depending on the payment method chosen upon receipt of the returned package.
The risks associated with returning the product are the responsibility of the customer.

  1. In the event of a package being damaged upon delivery, the recipient must make immediate, significant and precise reservations (condition of the package and its contents) on the carrier's delivery note, with a signature. At the same time, this anomaly must be confirmed by sending the carrier, within two working days following the delivery date, a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt setting out said complaints. A copy of the letter must be sent by post to Pépinières Karnivores, Chemin communal 1 Mittlerer Erlen Weg 68000 Colmar. A package whose contents have arrived in good condition to the end customer and refused by the latter, whether it arrived within the time limits proposed by our carriers or outside these time limits, does not entitle you to a refund.
  2. In the event of non-delivery of the package by the carrier (incomplete or incorrect address, package not claimed at a relay point, package refused without valid proof), the order will only be returned after the customer has paid the costs of a second shipment. Cancellation of an order by the customer following non-delivery of a package due to a postal problem (incomplete address) gives rise to a refund of the amount of the order excluding shipping/preparation costs.
  3. The plants are sent in pots or "bare roots", freed from dead leaves, they are then wrapped in damp sphagnum moss and packaged in individual plastic bags. The plants can thus travel for more than 15 days without damage .
  4. Any dispute will be judged by the Commercial Court of Colmar, which has sole jurisdiction, whenever the law permits.

4. Price

The prices indicated on the product sheets do not include transport costs. They are expressed in Euros and are inclusive of all taxes (TTC) for mainland France.

5. Availability and warranty

The website www.karnivores.com is regularly updated. However, as the availability of species can change quickly, we will refund or exchange any plant that cannot be delivered.

The photos of the plants are not contractual, they do not represent the specimen purchased but one of those put on sale.

We guarantee the perfect condition of the plants when they leave our establishment.
