Repotting a Sarracenia is simple when you follow the right steps. Take your time and handle the plant gently.
Pour the special carnivorous plant potting mix into a clean bucket or bowl.
Gradually add rainwater, reverse osmosis or demineralized water (available in containers in supermarkets), then mix.
Mix until you obtain a very moist, almost muddy substrate : this is the ideal texture for repotting without stressing the plant.
Fill the pot, tamping lightly , without excessively compacting the substrate.
Carefully remove all the soil from the Sarracenia mini-plug, then gently rinse the roots with pure water.
Make a hole with your finger in the center of the pot and place the Sarracenia in it, with the roots spread out well.
Cover the substrate around the plant, tamping it down lightly: repotting is complete .
Your Sarracenia is now ready to resume its growth under good conditions. Next, place it in a bright location and keep the substrate moist with suitable water.
