Native to Mexico, the Wandering Jew Tradescantia pallida is a popular houseplant with great qualities. It is beautiful and ample, with an almost purple foliage all year long. It is extremely tolerant, being able to grow in very shaded places including indoors. Eventually, it is exceptionally effective for air enhancing, thanks to its ability to absorb most of the volatile organic compounds found in the indoor air. Flowers are bright pink to pinkish white.
- Use our dedicated mix - 50% peat moss, 25% horticultural compost and 25% perlite.
- Choose a luminous or a shady place, the plant likes both.
- Place the plant indoors or outdoors as long as it does not freeze.
- Water with rainwater or demineralized water. The soil must be kept moist all year long, but don't let water stand under the plant.
- In spring, twice a month, it is beneficial to feed the plant with fertilizer. Dilute it to a quarter.
Special shells, built to maintain the pots and to protect the leaves, are utilized.
The pot is surrounded with plastic film up to the base of the plant, for a perfect maintaining of the compost inside it. It is ready to be placed in the dedicated place.
The shell is closed and sealed with staples, maintaining the pot and leaving the aerial parts in a wide space so that the foliage cannot be crushed in any way. The identification label is affixed.
The box is accommodated in the parcel with the other elements, and the set is propped up with some recycled, paded cardboard.
