Ibicella lutea
Ibicella lutea is a large annual plant producing very sticky leaves and stalks, intended in catching and killing parasite bugs. But it does not produce any digestive enzyme - it is therefore called "protocarnivorous". The plant produces beautiful yellow flowers and clawed fruits. They catch the legs of the wandering animals, spreading the seeds on a large surface.
It is peculiar in that it can be grown outside in the garden ground !
The germination is easy to get.
Firstly, soak up the seeds for 72h long in water at ambient temperature. Use a classic horticultural compost. Completely wet the soil, fill the pot and sow the seeds onto it, without burying them. Place the pot in a warm and shiny place, between 20 and 25°C, and protected from dry winds. Beware not to drown the seeds when watering. Between 2 and 6 weeks are required for the seeds to germinate. Reduce watering while the plant grows - the soil must never be watterlogged.

About the Service Plus
(1) Unless otherwise stated, the plants are shipped bare root, wrapped in moist sphagnum moss. Prepare everything you need to repot them upon arrival. Each Tillandsia and Neoregelia is wrapped in a dry padded box.
(2) With the Service Plus (when available), the plants are shipped in their original pot, in a protective box, with a "Karnivores" label on which you can write the name of the plant. There's no need to repot them upon arrival, and acclimatization is much faster and easier.
