Nepenthes glabrata is native to the high forests of center Sulawesi, Indonesia. This astounding rarity produces rounded, light yellow pitchers, with a few red strews. They are unique in the genus and particularly dainty. The upper pitchers are more stretched out, creamy white with a few red blotches. In habitat, this species can reach 13 meters high, climbing in trees ! As a young plant, its growth remains moderate however, making it a great carnivorous plant for a terrarium tank.

Conseils

Température

Température Between 10 and 15°C at night, 20 and 30°C during the day.

Eau

Eau Only rain, demineralized or osmosed water. A mineralized (and especially calcareous) water may be lethal in the long term. Never let water stand in the tray because the roots may rot.

Engrais

Engrais Twice a month, you can use a 1/4 diluted orchids fertilizer.

Luminosité

Luminosité No direct sun but about 50% of its luminosity. Artificial light can be very beneficial or even necessary.

Substrat

Substrat Use the Nepenthes mix or do it by yourself using sphagnum moss, bark, coconut fibre and sphagnum peat moss.
