Impressive bromeliad tank, the only one to be considered carnivorous in the whole genus Catopsis. The leaves are flat, erected, acuminated - they end sharp - and covered with a white powder which probably helps in attracting insects. They slide to the core of the rosette, full of water. Then they drown, and are digested under the action of bacteria.
The plant can be grown in a pot with a light soil to support it. It can also be hanged on a bark piece, like Tillandsia, and placed outside from spring to autumn.

Conseils spécifiques pour cette espèce
Température
From 10 to 30°C.
Eau
Provide rainwater or demineralized water, for the roots as well as for the rosette. Fill it periodically. The soil must be kept humid but don't let water stand in the tray.
Engrais
In spring and summer, it is beneficial to feed them with orchid fertilizer twice a month, so as to bring minerals and nitrogen the plants need.
Luminosité
Strong light but no ful sun during the warmest hours - partially shaded sunlight. A good light enhances leaf coloration.
(1) Unless otherwise stated, the plants are shipped bare root, wrapped in moist sphagnum moss. Prepare everything you need to repot them upon arrival. Each Tillandsia and Neoregelia is wrapped in a dry padded box.
(2) With the Service Plus (when available), the plants are shipped in their original pot, in a protective box, with a "Karnivores" label on which you can write the name of the plant. There's no need to repot them upon arrival, and acclimatization is much faster and easier.

Closing that immobilizes the pot, and placing of the color label that allows to identify the box content straightaway.
Disposal in the cardboard box with protection chips or bubble paper, so that the elements cannot move or be flattened.
