Weingartia lanata
4 to 6 cm
Uncommon species native to Chuquichuqui, Bolivia. We can also call it Weingartia chuquichuquinensis, but we shall retain the other name, easier to pronounce ! It is a solitary spherical cactus with marked ribs, developing robust ivory-coloured prickles, pointing slightly upward. Makes many attractive golden flowers.
We deliver all cacti with their roots contained in a mini clod. They are to repot using the provided compost and pot.

Conseils spécifiques pour cette espèce
Température
Up to 50°C. Prevent it from undergoing temperatures below 0°C. A few months with a cool temperature (below 15°C), between October and March, are necessary for the dormancy of the plant.
Eau

Use a limestone-free water. In summer, a substantial watering each week is necessary. Do not hesitate to wet the plant so as to wash it. In spring and autumn, water every 3 weeks. Do not bring any water in winter. Make sure that the soil is dry before water, and do it when the weather is warm and sunny.
Engrais

Once a month, from March till September, provide a dose of fertilizer for cacti.
Luminosité

Full sun during the growing period, from March till October. In winter, if you cannot leave it outside, placeit in a cool room, even if light is very weak. After winter, gradually get the plant used to sunlight again.
Substrat

Use
the mix for cacti. After repotting, don't water before a few days, so as to let the roots establish again.
