Here is a little globulous and flattened cactus, native to a restricted area located near Cajamarca, Peru, high in the mountains. This solitary plant reaches 15 cm in diameter. The moderately dense spines are black at the base and brown at the end. The species name comes from the strong yellow color of the flowers, which is a rare characteristic among the Matucana genus. They are abundant in summer, for the grower's pleasure.

We deliver all cacti with their roots contained in a mini clod. They are to repot using the provided compost and pot.
