Ferocactus
3 to 5 cm
The genus Ferocactus is spread from Mexico up to the southwest of the USA and on the islands of the Gulf of California. Unlike most of the species, the one we provide is not of the most spiky ! Spherical and solitary, it produces wide ribs with a low amount of prickles. Flowers are wide - more than 5 cm in diameter.
Very easy to grow. However, several years are needed for it to bloom.
We deliver all cacti with their roots contained in a mini clod. They are to repot using the provided compost and pot.

Température
Up to 50°C. Prevent it from undergoing temperatures below 0°C. A few months with a cool temperature (below 15°C), between October and March, are necessary for the dormancy of the plant.
Eau
Use a limestone-free water. In summer, a substantial watering each week is necessary. Do not hesitate to wet the plant so as to wash it. In spring and autumn, water every 3 weeks. Do not bring any water in winter. Make sure that the soil is dry before water, and do it when the weather is warm and sunny. Engrais
Once a month, from March till September, provide a dose of fertilizer for cacti. Luminosité
Full sun during the growing period, from March till October. In winter, if you cannot leave it outside, placeit in a cool room, even if light is very weak. After winter, gradually get the plant used to sunlight again. Substrat
